Workshops!

Im so excited to be doing 2 in person workshops in the very near future. I am co-teaching a Forage and Color workshop with Stephanie Gaylord who owns Roots Holistic Wellness in Chatham NY, my hometown. We will spend the afternoon foraging for dye plants, create dye baths to dye a variety of fibers, make tea, talk about how color makes us feel and remember our plant friends through eco prints on silk. Each participant will walk away with plant dye and plant medicine knowledge, a Forage: Color work book, dye samples from foraged plants and a eco printed silk handkerchief.

As part of TEXTILE MONTH NYC i’ll be teaching a design and cyanotype workshop in sunny Sunset Park Brooklyn on September 10th form 10:30a-12p. We will start of with some drawing exercises and move our designs to cut paper. After our collages are finished we will print them onto fabric using the first ever method for making blue prints, cyanotype. Each participant will leave the workshop with written instructions, finished collages and their design printed on fabric. Sign up HERE.
